Clexane is used as an anticoagulant to help prevent blood clots from forming inside blood vessels, especially in cases where they are more likely to occur. This includes preventing deep vein thrombosis that may occur after surgery or during prolonged periods of immobility such as bed rest due to illness.
Clexane is also used to manage unstable angina and some cases of heart attacks, in addition to its role in preventing complications of clots in patients with chronic blood clotting disorders.
