Medicine Description
Glypressin is used to treat a number of liver and circulatory conditions. It works by reducing blood pressure in the portal veins of the liver. The drug is particularly useful in treating esophageal variceal bleeding, a serious condition often caused by portal hypertension, which is often associated with liver disease such as cirrhosis. Glypressin is also used to manage certain cases of severe low blood pressure that are difficult to treat with conventional methods. The drug also exhibits properties that promote circulatory stability and reduce excessive blood flow to certain vital areas of the body, helping to reduce the risk of bleeding from damaged tissues or vessels.
